About Your Editor Linda Manley I earned my BBA and MBA from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and was employed by a private university for over 11 years before retiring to enjoy a quieter life. At the university, I served as Research Director, overseeing the staff of 15 research advisors and granting institutional approval to the master’s theses written by students. During that time, I read and reviewed over 1000 student projects. I also managed the curricula of the five graduate and undergraduate business degree programs. The centralized curriculum model used by the university allowed differentiation of similar disciplines in the various programs so that students could precisely tune their educations. I provided the university with editing services for course descriptions, class schedules, the catalog, and the student handbook. I reviewed and edited many of the documents distributed to the public and taught format workshops for students. My home-based editing service, Edits For Scholars, has enabled me to continue to provide support to students and the academic community. You can be assured of personal handling of your documents and genuine concern for your work. I have helped hundreds of students complete and gain approval for their proposals and dissertations. I have also edited curriculum for online university courses, as well as for home schooling programs. One of my most extensive projects in "retirement" was assisting with curriculum design and editing for the launch of a new online university, from the ground up. Today, I work from home in my loft office, surrounded by pictures and souvenirs of tropical vacations. Clients must excuse my occasional absences during the worst of the winter, when I opt for short escapes to warmer climes. (Website links to vacation photos are available upon request.) In my spare time, I write articles and blog about retiring in warm places, preparing and eating healthy foods, and saving money while doing both.
Client Comments "Thanks Linda for all of the hard work. I see why Dr. X highly recommends you. I will be in touch again within a few weeks." "I am amazed that two separate editors went over my proposal previously! When it was rejected by the school partially because of editing reasons, I was shocked. You do good work! I'll definitely use you for my next two chapters and the final." "Thanks to your complete and wonderful editing skills my dissertation sailed through the committee and is off to the University for School Approval. I have already recommended you to several other colleagues who are also in pursuit of their PhD and have added your web-site to my favorites." "I can't tell you how important and wonderful this experience of working with you has been. (I was ready to throw in the towel ;-0) but your encouragement and hard work make this thing seem possible." "Holy COW!!!!!!! Thanks Linda, this is fantastic. I truly appreciate your time and effort…I could have NEVER done this…it’ll take me about five years to realize what you’ve done here…lol!!!" |
